FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How our conflict-free, CFP® professional-led financial education works for employers and public sector organizations.

What is Financial Knowledge?

Financial Knowledge Network, LLC has provided conflict-free, accredited financial education in the workplace since 1989. We deliver live onsite and webcast courses, recorded courses and 1:1 financial coaching, all led by CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals, for employers and public sector organizations.

Do you sell financial products or make sales pitches?

No. Our programs are education only, with no hidden agendas and no sales pitches, so employees can trust the guidance they receive.

Who teaches the courses?

Every course is taught by an experienced CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. Our instructors explain complex topics in plain language and answer employees' questions in real time.

What formats do you offer?

Onsite courses at your location, live webcast courses for remote and traveling employees, recorded courses employees can watch at their convenience, and 1:1 financial coaching sessions held virtually or on campus.

What topics do your courses cover?

We offer 50+ ready-made courses covering more than 300 financial topics, including financial management and budgeting, investing, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, stock plans, real estate, employee benefits, kids and college funding, and risk management, plus community group courses for LGBTQ+, Black, Asian-American, Hispanic and other employee groups.

Can you customize courses for our organization?

Yes. Many courses are customizable by default, and we can tailor content to your benefits, plan documents and workforce. If you need a completely new course or a special program, we'll design it for you.

Do you work with public sector organizations?

Yes. We work with state agencies, public retirement systems, cities, counties, school districts and universities. For example, the Employees Retirement System of Texas sponsors a financial education webinar series presented by Financial Knowledge for Texas state employees, and we presented on Social Security, Medicare and pensions at the National Pension Education Association's 2026 Annual Conference.

Why don't you list your clients by name?

Client privacy matters to us. We honor the confidentiality terms in our clients' master service agreements, so we don't publicize client names without permission. We're happy to provide references upon request.

How is your content developed?

Our curriculum has been shaped since 1989 by feedback and requests from the organizations and employees we serve. Topics are curated to reflect the questions employees actually ask, developed by CFP® professionals, and updated as laws, regulations and benefits change. We also tailor content to each client's plans and workforce.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Financial Knowledge is an IACET Accredited Provider (International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training) and is certified as a Women-Owned Small Business by WBENC (the Women's Business Enterprise National Council).

How is live instruction different from a financial wellness app?

Apps and recordings are useful, but a live instructor can read the room, tailor examples to your workforce and answer the questions employees are hesitant to ask. We combine live sessions with recordings so everyone can participate.

What does a program cost?

We work with budgets of any size. Programs can start with a 30-minute course for under $1,000, and pricing scales with the format, the number of sessions and the size of your audience. Contact us for a proposal, and ask about a complimentary pilot session for your team.

How do we get started?

Tell us about your employees and benefits, and we'll complete a short needs analysis with you. We then propose a program, from a single webinar to a year-long series, and support it with an automated registration system, promotional materials and course workbooks.

Still have questions?

We're happy to talk through your workforce and goals.
